The enactment of the Nursing Law on September 25, 2014, by the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) was a significant moment for the nursing profession to understand and respond appropriately to its implementation in healthcare services or nursing care. The birth of Law Number 38 of 2014 concerning Nursing is clear evidence that demands for professionalism in nursing have been recognized to meet needs and achieve client independence.

Nursing Law provides legal protection and certainty for nurses and the community. Therefore, it is essential for the nursing profession and prospective members to understand nursing care services within the framework of nursing practices regulated in the law. These include providing care services, professional nursing, education, and independent nursing practice.
