The Tri Dharma of Higher Education is the vision of all universities in Indonesia. Therefore, this is implemented by prioritizing research for lecturers as part of the Tri Darma of Higher Education. The results of the research are published in national and international publications. In this case, the USU Faculty of Nursing always encourages lecturers to publish the results of their research in journals that have been indexed by Scopus or not. Some lecturers who have published their writings in Scopus-indexed international journals are Jenny Marlindawani Purba and Evi Karota Bukit. Jenny Marlindawani Purba published her research in Walailak Journal of Science and Technology, vol. 14 no. 1, in January 2017, titled, “Effectiveness of a coaching program for family caregivers of persons with schizophrenia: a randomized controlled trial”. In addition, Ms. Jenny has also published her research titled, “The effect of psychoeducation intervention on burden among caregivers of persons with schizophrenia in Medan”, in the journal Advances in Health Science Research, vol. 1, 2017.
Meanwhile, Evi Karota Bukit has published the results of her research in the Scopus-indexed Enfermeria Clinica, with the research title, “Student Perception of Interprofessional Education Application at the Health Sciences Universitas Sumatera Utara.” It is hoped that with this publication, other lecturers will be motivated to do the same.
