The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a morning assembly on Monday, August 10, 2026, attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff. The assembly was led by Iwan Rusdi, S.Kp., MNS., Vice Dean for Research, Community Engagement, Cooperation, and Internationalization of the Faculty of Nursing USU. The activity served as part of the faculty’s internal coordination efforts and preparation to welcome the arrival of the 2026 cohort of new students.
In his address, Iwan Rusdi, S.Kp., MNS., emphasized the importance of readiness among all faculty members in providing quality services to new students, from their initial adaptation to the implementation of academic activities. Faculty leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff are expected to create an orderly, welcoming, and inclusive campus environment that supports new students in becoming familiar with the academic culture and environment of the Faculty of Nursing USU.
This readiness is also aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education, particularly in creating a quality, inclusive educational environment that supports students’ learning process from the beginning of their higher education journey. In addition, strengthening synergy among faculty leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through responsive, professional, and service-oriented institutional governance.
Through the morning assembly, the Faculty of Nursing USU reaffirmed its commitment to building a collaborative working and academic environment in welcoming the 2026 cohort of new students. The synergy of the entire academic community is expected to provide students with a positive initial experience while strengthening the quality of nursing education at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
