Medan, August 19, 2026 — After the entire series of Hybrid Seminars of the Capacity Building Program for Graduates to Work Abroad had been completed, the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a shared meal as the closing activity. A warm and family-like atmosphere characterized the gathering of all participants who had taken part in the activity from afternoon until late afternoon.

The activity was attended by Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Internationalization, Iwan Rusdi, S.Kp., MNS., along with speakers, faculty leaders, lecturers, education personnel, students, and alumni of the Faculty of Nursing. This moment provided an informal space to strengthen communication and foster closer relationships among the academic community and professional partners.

In a relaxed atmosphere, participants took the opportunity to further discuss international career development, opportunities for further study, and experiences of working abroad that had been shared by the speakers during the seminar. The interaction was expected to open new networks and collaborations for students and alumni.

The togetherness established through the shared meal reflected the commitment of the Faculty of Nursing USU to building an inclusive, collaborative, and mutually supportive academic environment. Beyond serving as an opportunity to strengthen relationships, the activity also strengthened synergy between the education sector and international nursing practitioners.

The closing of the activity was in line with the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening networks among higher education institutions, health professionals, alumni, and international partners in creating nursing graduates who are excellent, adaptive, and globally competitive.
