Medan, August 1, 2024 - The Corruption-Free Zone Integrity Team (ZI WBK) of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted a mentoring session and sharing session on the Integrity Zone at Medan State University (UNIMED) on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The event at the FMIPA UNIMED Hall aimed to strengthen the understanding and application of integrity principles in the academic environment. The arrival of the USU Faculty of Nursing ZI WBK Team was led by Mrs. Cholina T. Siregar, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep, who is the Deputy Dean II of the USU Faculty of Nursing as well as the Chairperson of ZI WBK along with the respective Lever Chairs. The team was welcomed directly by the Vice Chancellors of Universitas Negeri Medan, the Chairperson of ZI WBK Unimed, his staff, and all parties involved in ZI WBK activities at Universitas Negeri Medan.
This activity began with an assistance session for filling out the Integrity Zone worksheet, which provides practical guidance on the processes and standards that must be met to obtain the Corruption Free Zone title. The team from USU's Faculty of Nursing provided direct guidance to participants from UNIMED, explaining concrete steps and answering questions related to filling out the document. Next, the event continued with a sharing session highlighting experiences and best practices in implementing Integrity Zones in various educational institutions. The discussion introduced various strategies to fight corruption and motivated participants to increase corruption prevention efforts on their respective campuses. Present at the event were some UNIMED officials and staff who enthusiastically participated in each session, demonstrating their commitment to efforts to build a strong culture of integrity on campus. This activity is expected to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions to promote accountability and transparency and reduce the potential for corrupt practices. This mentoring and sharing session is part of an ongoing initiative to support and strengthen the implementation of the Integrity Zone at UNIMED.
