Faculty of Nursing, September 17, 2026 — The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a meeting on assistance and follow-up for the completion of the reaccreditation form for the Undergraduate Program in Nursing and Nursing Professional Program on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11.00 WIB until completion, at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Nursing, USU.

The meeting was conducted based on the official invitation letter from the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing USU, Number 2501/UN5.2.13.D/OT.02.03/2026.

The meeting was directly led by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing USU, Dr. Dudut Tanjung, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.KMB, as the Chairperson of the Team for Completing the Accreditation Instrument of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes).

Within the quality assurance team structure, coordination was jointly led by Dr. Farida Linda Sari Siregar, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., as Secretary, and Iwan Rusdi, S.Kp., MNS., as Coordinator, supported by the secretariat team and academic members.

To ensure that every assessment element of the accreditation standards is optimally fulfilled, the preparation of documents was systematically distributed among the Accreditation Document Development Team for Criteria 1 through Criteria 8. The assignment of responsibility for each criterion involved faculty, academic, and education personnel.

The implementation of this reaccreditation is closely related to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through quality assurance of governance standards, facilities, and the curriculum of higher education in nursing. In addition, strengthening the quality of nursing and professional nursing graduates directly supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by ensuring the availability of professional, competent health workers who are ready to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community.

Through focused assistance in completing the reaccreditation form and intensive collaboration across criteria, the Faculty of Nursing USU is optimistic that it can present a high-quality accreditation instrument.

This systematic approach is expected to maintain and improve the institution's academic excellence while expanding the faculty's meaningful contribution to national health development.
