The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKep USU), together with its partners, held a Blood Donation Drive on Thursday, August 13, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. WIB at the Faculty of Nursing USU Pavilion. Carrying the spirit of “One Drop of Blood, A Real Expression of Humanitarian Care,” the activity was open to the general public and the USU academic community as an opportunity to participate in a humanitarian initiative.

Blood donation is a tangible form of contribution that helps meet the need for blood for transfusion. Eligible donors, including those in good physical and mental health, with normal blood pressure, aged over 17, weighing at least 45 kilograms, and meeting other applicable health requirements, were encouraged to participate. Registration was available through the committee's contact information or the registration link provided in the event announcement.

Through this activity, FKep USU encouraged greater social awareness and emphasized the importance of blood donation in supporting others' health and safety. The initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, through its contribution to improving community health and well-being, as well as SDG 4: Quality Education, by fostering values of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility within the academic community.
