The 2026 Committee for the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKep USU) held an academic gown distribution activity for new FKep USU students on August 4–5, 2026. The activity was part of the preparations before new students participated in the campus life introduction program and began their academic journey within FKep USU.

The academic gown distribution service was carried out in an orderly and coordinated manner by the committee to ensure that all new students received the required academic attire. In addition to serving as an official attribute of USU students, the academic gown symbolizes identity, pride, and a sense of belonging to the educational institution where students develop their knowledge, skills, and professional character.

In implementing the activity, FKep USU also received support from PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and PT Grab Teknologi Indonesia as collaborative partners contributing to the 2026 FKep USU PKKMB series. This collaboration reflects synergy between the university and external partners in providing optimal services and creating a positive initial experience for new students.

The academic gown distribution activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by supporting students’ readiness to pursue quality education, as well as SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthened cooperation between higher education institutions and various stakeholders in supporting the sustainability of educational programs. Through PKKMB 2026, FKep USU is committed to building an inclusive and collaborative academic environment that supports student success from the beginning of their studies.
