Faculty of Nursing, September 22, 2026 — The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara, successfully conducted the Post-Accreditation Monitoring and Evaluation and Online Surveillance for the Undergraduate Program in Nursing (S-1) and Nursing Professional Program on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The agenda was conducted based on the Dean's Invitation Letter Number 2553/UN5.2.13.D/OT.02.03/2026 as a form of public accountability and commitment to maintaining quality standards in higher education in the health sector.
The institutional evaluation activity was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Dudut Tanjung, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.KMB, and featured an official assessor from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes), Prof. Dr. Hajjul Kamil, S.Kp., M.Kep.
The activity began with an opening, prayer, remarks from the faculty leadership, an introduction of the assessor, and a presentation of the online surveillance procedures in the presence of the leadership of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS).
The series continued with the main discussion session, which focused on clarification, responses to the presentation results, as well as verification and validation of evidence of follow-up actions based on the analysis of previous recommendations, both related to the fulfillment of academic documents and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure.
After the assessor's independent working stage, the agenda concluded with a feedback discussion and the signing of the surveillance results report by the assessor, UPPS leadership, study program management, and the accreditation task force team.
The implementation of accreditation monitoring, evaluation, and surveillance is closely related to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through the fulfillment of quality assurance standards and accountable governance of higher education in nursing. In addition, strengthening the quality of the Undergraduate Program in Nursing and Nursing Professional Program directly supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by ensuring the development of competent and highly competitive professional nurses for the community.
With all stages of the surveillance and post-accreditation evaluation completed, the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Sumatera Utara is optimistic that it can continue to maintain academic excellence and organizational governance. The results of this activity are expected to serve as a strategic foundation for the faculty to innovate and make meaningful contributions to the development of nursing education and sustainable public health services.
