Nursing lecturers from the Maternity-Child Department at USU carried out community service activities (PKM) in three areas. The first activity took place on September 12, 2019, at the Amir Hamzah Education Foundation in Medan, with the theme "Optimization of Genre (Planned Generation) through the Empowerment of Adolescent Reproductive Health Information and Counseling Centers at Amir Hamzah Junior High School, Medan." This activity was conducted by Mrs. Nur Asiah, S.Kep, Ns, M.Biomed, Dewi Elizadiani Suza, S.Kp, MNS, PhD, and Diah Arrum, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kep, involving teachers and students.

 

The second activity was held on September 13, 2019, in collaboration with the Persaudaraan Muslimah (Salimah) organization, chaired by Mrs. Chairani Sitompul, S.Sos. The theme of this activity was "Enhancing Community Capability in Preventive Efforts Against Breast Cancer through Healthy Living Behavior Training and Breast Self-Examination (Sadari)." Mrs. Erniyati, S.Kp, M.NS, and Nur Asiah, S.Kep, M.Biomed conducted this activity.

 

The third activity occurred on November 20, 2019, at the Jeruk Posyandu and the Village Head Office in Namorambe District. The theme of this activity was "Prevention of Stunting in Children through Early Detection and MP-ASI (Complementary Feeding) Education." Mrs. Siti Saidah Nst, S.Kp, M.Kep, Sp conducted this event. Mat, Ellyta Aizar, S.Kp, M. Biomed, and Erniyati, S.Kp, MNS.
