The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held an online meeting with the Faculty of Nursing, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, to discuss the development of inter-institutional academic cooperation. The meeting was held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. WIB via Zoom Meeting, with the discussion of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two faculties of nursing as the main agenda.
The meeting served as a discussion forum between the Faculty of Nursing, USU, and the Faculty of Nursing, PSU, Thailand, to explore opportunities and mechanisms for cooperation that could support the development of nursing education and research. The collaboration is part of an effort to establish academic partnerships that benefit both institutions in addressing global challenges in the fields of health and nursing.
The activity is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education through the development of high-quality, innovative nursing education focused on enhancing academic competencies. In addition, the discussion of the MOA supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration among educational institutions and expanding international academic networks.
Through discussions on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Faculty of Nursing, PSU, Thailand, the Faculty of Nursing, USU, continues to promote international cooperation as part of its efforts to improve the quality of education, research, and nursing human resource development. The cooperation is expected to create opportunities for sustainable collaboration and contribute to the advancement of nursing education at the regional level.
