On February 23, 2018, a seminar on recruiting care workers to Japan was held in the 3rd-floor Auditorium of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The seminar was attended by approximately 230 nursing alumni and professional program students. The speaker, Mr. Keigo Omi, was accompanied by Ali Mansyar, Ph.D., a Japanese language lecturer who acted as the translator.
Mr. Keigo Omi presented four key topics during the seminar:
- Overview of the Technical Intern Training Program
- Care Workers under the Technical Intern Training Program
- Japanese-Language Education Program for Nurses
- Video of Elderly Care Homes in Japan
The four topics were delivered within approximately 60 minutes, followed by a Q&A session that attracted significant interest and engagement from participants. The event concluded with a souvenir handover from the Faculty of Nursing USU, as the host, to the Japanese delegation team.
