Facilitate and support the achievement of departmental lecturers with educational qualifications S3 Nursing through Continuing Education Program S3 / Doctoral level.

Facilitate and support the further education of lecturers with educational qualifications of Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialist and Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialist through Specialist Doctor Education.

Facilitate and motivate department lecturers to obtain lecturer certificates.

Facilitate and motivate lecturers to improve the functional position of lecturers for the levels: Lector, Head Lector, Professor in the next 5 years.

Assist the Dean in structuring the functions and duties (Tupoksi) of the lecturer staff of the Department of Medical-Surgery and Basic Nursing in accordance with the provisions of the Faculty/University based on the Tri Dharma PT and support which is realized in the Lecturer Workload.

Coordinate with the Dean, Vice Dean II, Head of Administration in determining and optimizing the main work duties of the Head of Department and Secretary of the Department according to the provisions.

Organizing training programs for lecturers of the Department of Medical-Surgery and Basic Nursing in accordance with their fields of expertise to support the process of learning activities

Participate in cross-faculty cooperation with reputable Faculties of Nursing, at home and abroad, as part of the department's development. Especially in facilitating the process of receiving scholarships and the smooth study of lecturers to follow the S3 (Doctoral) Program.

Facilitate the lecturer staff of the Department of Medical-Surgical and Community Nursing in realizing incentive funds for S3 education assistance for lecturers.

Synchronizing the research and service roadmap of the medical-surgical and basic nursing department teaching staff with the faculty road map according to the scientific field in 2021 - 2026.

Contributing to international and national conference activities from the results of research by lecturers of the department of medical-surgical nursing and basic nursing including family and gerontic nursing every year.

Motivating lecturers to improve their ability to speak and write foreign languages.

Facilitate the process and procedure for filing IPR for Nursing department lecturers. Surgical and Basic Nursing, Family Nursing and Gerontic Nursing in accordance with the provisions.

Develop a departmental cooperation program with related institutions/institutions which is a follow-up to the USU Faculty of Nursing's umbrella of cooperation.

Exploring cooperation across nursing faculties outside Sumatra Island for the development of Holistic Care-oriented Nursing Clinics such as surgical medical health nursing counseling, elderly day care, and family counseling.

Exploring cooperation for the development of the Department of Surgical and Basic Nursing which is equipped with an agreement and umbrella of institutional cooperation covering aspects of surgical medical nursing, basic nursing, family nursing, and gerontic nursing.

Conduct departmental cooperation with related institutions both nationally and internationally for the development of Surgical, Family, Gerontic and Community Nursing Programs.

Facilitate and support the lecturer staff of the medical-surgical and basic nursing departments and actively participate as speakers, facilitators, thesis, dissertation examiners, visiting lecturers, as well as other scientific activities outside the USU Faculty of Nursing.
